Guests with a Disability

At Sea World, we want to make sure that everyone's day with us is an exciting, fun-filled experience that will never be forgotten. Guests with pre-existing medical conditions, injuries or disabilities are recommended to visit Guest Services (Location Q3) prior to presenting to our attractions. One of the key roles our Guest Services team is to assist guests to plan their day on an individual basis and determine which attractions can be undertaken safely.

Accessible Parking

Reserved parking is available in the first row of the car park for guests whose vehicles display a Disability Parking Permit. A limited number of reserved parking is also available adjacent to the Administration building – this area can also be utilised as a drop off/pick up location. The reserved spaces are clearly marked with the International Disabilities Symbol.

Admission Price

We offer a discounted admission rate for guests with:
– Physical disabilities requiring the use of a wheelchair
– Intellectual, aural or visual disabilities
– Carers (conditions apply - please see below* for details).

Discounted admission rates are available for purchase at the ticket booths only on the day of visit upon the presentation of a State or Commonwealth issued Disability Pension Card. Please advise the cashier when purchasing admissions tickets to receive the discounted rates.

Carer Admission*

– Guests who produce a Companion Card (http://www.companioncard.gov.au/) are entitled to one (1) free of charge companion ticket so that their companion can provide attendant care support during the visit.
– Guests who produce a Carer's Card (or similar) issued by relevant State or Commonwealth authorities (as opposed to a Companion Card) will be entitled to a discounted admission rate.

First Aid

Registered Nurses staff Sea World First Aid Centre (location Q6). Any personal medical equipment, for example ventilators, may be stored and used at First Aid. First Aid does not supply such equipment for everyday use. Medication which requires refrigeration may also be stored at First Aid.

Restrooms

All main restrooms have facilities designed for access by wheelchairs. If required, a companion restroom is available at First Aid (Location Q6).

Wheelchair Hire

A limited number of manual wheelchairs are available for hire at Guest Services (Location Q3) for a minimal cost. Wheelchairs are available complimentary, however a $20.00 refundable deposit is required upon collection. We strongly recommend prebooking with Guest Services by calling 07 5588 2178.

*A form of ID is required. The hire fees include GST and is per day or part thereof.

Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs

Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs are welcome in our park. Service Animals are allowed in most locations throughout the park with the exception of some restricted areas. We ask that dogs wear their working vest identifying their role at all times.

Assistive Listening Service

Sea World offers an Assistive Listening service, which amplifies sound through headphones or induction loop at specific theme park attractions for guests with hearing difficulties. A limited number of devices are available, please contact Guest Services for full details and hire charges.

Guests using a Wheelchair

For your enjoyment and convenience, all of our shopping and most of our dining facilities are wheelchair accessible via ramps. Also, many of our shows have areas reserved for guests with disabilities. Additionally, there are specific boarding requirements and accommodations for those using wheelchairs at each attraction.

Please visit Guest Services prior to attending our attractions be issued with a wristband to avoid unnecessary delays.

Casts, Braces or Supports

Guests with a cast or brace support on one or more limbs will be restricted from riding rides where the cast or brace support may present a hazard to the guest or others. Guests with a disability, strapping or bandages to a limb can be assessed by Guest Services (Location Q3) on an individual basis to determine if their capabilities comply with ride requirements.

Guests with an Amputation or Prosthesis

For safety reasons, guests with an amputated limb or prosthesis may be unable to use some of our attractions. As situations vary, guests are assessed on an individual basis to determine which attractions can be undertaken safely. Guests with Epilepsy and Motion Sickness

Some of our attractions are not recommended for guests with epilepsy, motion sickness or those who experience seizures. Please visit Guest Services (Location Q3) prior to presenting to our attractions for individual ride details.
