SEA WORLD ANIMAL ADVENTURES PROGRAMS

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Participation in Sea World Animal Adventures is only available to Sea World guests and only on the day of their visit.

PLEASE NOTE: General admission to Sea World is an additional cost and is not included in the price of any Animal Adventures programs.

Participants:
• acknowledge they will be required to check in one hour prior to their program start time. For programs commencing prior to 10am please consult your ticket.
• acknowledge that they will be entering an environment housing animals. Whilst Sea World takes all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff, participants should be aware that close encounters with animals will always involve a degree of unpredictability. Quick reactions and strict attention to directions from staff are essential.
• release Sea World to the full extent permitted by law from any claim for personal injury, loss or damage arising from their participation in Animal Adventure programs.
• agree to comply with all lawful directions that Sea World makes regarding their participation in any program.

A criteria checklist must be completed to participate in each of the Animal Adventures programs. The criteria are strictly enforced to ensure the safety of our guests, staff and animals. All participation is subject to final assessment by the Sea World staff member at the time of attendance. If at any time prior or during the program a participant is assessed by staff as not being able to fulfil the criteria, they will be directed to leave the program. No refund will be given [subject to any requirements at law to the contrary].

Availability, start times, duration times, number of participants and all other conditions and/or relevant information are subject to change without notice. All participants, or a legal guardian (18 years or over), will be required to sign a liability release form and the criteria checklist before beginning the program.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Sea World may at its sole discretion cancel any Animal Adventures program if we are of the opinion that extreme weather or other conditions make it impossible for the program to be held. In the event of such cancellation participants will either be rebooked into another Animal Adventures program (subject to program availability) or they will be eligible for a full refund. Refunds will only be paid to the person who made the booking.

Animal Adventure bookings are:
• non-transferable, not to be re-sold and not redeemable for cash.
• valid only for the date, time and program specified.
• non-refundable [other than as set out here and subject to any requirements at law to the contrary].

Subject to the same Terms & Conditions as noted above for Sea World Animal Adventures. Criteria for participation outlined below:

Participants:
• must be 8 years of age or over and a minimum height of 126cm (without footwear). Participants aged between 8 and 13 years inclusive must be accompanied by an 18+ guardian (maximum 2 children per guardian). There are no complimentary programs for guardians. Unaccompanied participants must be aged 14 years or over and be a minimum height of 145cm (without footwear).
• must be able to speak and/or understand English, or have a translator participate in the program with them. There are no complimentary programs for translators. Persons acting as a translator must advise staff at the start of the program. Translators must satisfy all criteria.
• must wear all approved clothing including safety glasses.
• are not to wear any visible jewellery unless protected by the approved protective clothing.
• must not have any open cuts or infections.
• must be able to bend and kneel on the ice without assistance.
• must not have ANY pre-existing knee, pelvic or back injuries.
• must follow directions quickly to the satisfaction of staff.
• must remove necklaces, earrings, and facial piercings.
• must follow all safety instructions during the duration of the tour.
• must be able to quickly exit the back of house area unassisted, including up and down stairs.
• must not have come into contact with any bird species in the previous 8 hours.
• must not be pregnant (based on medical advice).

Please be advised that fish/shellfish are used on the tour. Please advise staff of any allergy concerns. All personal belongings and effects, including bags, are not permitted on the tour and will remain in the Polar Room. Please ensure valuables are stored in a coin-operated locker prior to arriving for program. Photography is not permitted whilst in the back-of-house areas including on the ice.
