• acknowledge they will be required to check in one hour prior to their program start time and once checked in, please feel free to continue exploring the park until the scheduled meeting time. For programs commencing prior to 10am please consult your ticket. 

• acknowledge that they will be entering an environment housing animals. Whilst Sea World takes all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff, participants should be aware that close encounters with animals will always involve a degree of unpredictability. Quick reactions and strict attention to directions from staff are essential. 

• release Sea World to the full extent permitted by law from any claim for personal injury, loss or damage arising from their participation in Animal Adventure programs.  

• agree to comply with all lawful directions that Sea World makes regarding their participation in any program. 

A criteria checklist must be completed to participate in each of the Animal Adventures programs. The criteria are strictly enforced to ensure the safety of our guests, staff and animals. All participation is subject to final assessment by the Sea World staff member at the time of attendance. If at any time prior or during the program a participant is assessed by staff as not being able to fulfil the criteria, they will be directed to leave the program. No refund will be given [subject to any requirements at law to the contrary]. Availability, start times, duration times, number of participants and all other conditions and/or relevant information are subject to change without notice. All participants, or a legal guardian (18 years or over), will be required to sign a liability release form and the criteria checklist before beginning the program. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS  Sea World may at its sole discretion cancel any Animal Adventures program if we are of the opinion that extreme weather or other conditions make it impossible for the program to be held. Participants:

• acknowledge that they will be entering an environment housing animals and whilst we take all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff, close encounters with animals will always involve a degree of unpredictability, where quick reaction and strict attention to directions from staff are essential.

• release VRTP (to the fullest extent permitted by law) from any claim for personal injury, loss or damage arising from their participation in any Animal Adventures program.

• agree to comply with all lawful directions that we make in respect of their participation.

• acknowledge that for water-based Animal Adventures, the use of a supplied wet suit or rash vest and board shorts is required and is included in the price of the program. Sizes range from XS to 7XL. Should your size requirements not be met, please contact Guest Services to make other arrangements. Swimwear must be worn underneath wet suits or rash vests and board shorts. Failure to return the swimwear will incur a replacement fee.

• availability, start times, duration times, number of participants, selection criteria and all other conditions and/or relevant information are subject to change without notice./li>

Acknowledge that should they be deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs they will be excluded from participating in the program.

Certain criteria to ensure the safety of guests, staff and animals must be met to participate in each of the programs. All participation is subject to final assessment by our Marine Science’s staff member at the time of attendance. If at any time prior to the program commencing or during the program, a participant is assessed by staff as not able to fulfil the criteria, they will be directed to leave the program whereupon no refund will be given [subject to any requirements at law to the contrary].

Assisting guests with Disabilities Guests with disabilities are asked to call Customer Connect on 133 386 directly to determine suitability to participate in the Animal Adventures programs. Please note a limited number of custom programs are available, so we can include people with disabilities.

Cancellations & Refunds

Participants acknowledge:

• Sea World may at its sole discretion cancel any Animal Adventure program if the Marine Science’s staff member is of the opinion that extreme weather of other conditions makes it impossible for the program to be held. In the event of such cancellations, participants will either be rebooked into another Animal Adventures program (subject to program availability) or a gift card of the program costs paid. Gift cards will only be paid to the person who made the booking in the same manner as paid. Gift cards are valid for up to 3 years maximum.

• Animal Adventures bookings are non-transferable, not to be re-sold and not redeemable for cash.

• Animal Adventures are valid only for the date, time and program specified.

• Animal Adventures bookings are non-refundable [other then as set out herein and subject to any requirements at law to the contrary]

NOTE: The optional purchase of an Animal Adventure Photo package involves the taking of photographs of some/all participants together in the program. These photographs may be distributed by VRTP at its sole discretion.

Participants must:

• Must check into the Dockside Photo Lab no less than 1 hour prior to the photo session time to receive their wristband & ensure that criteria have been met. It is here that participants will receive details on the meeting location.

• have footwear [thongs are acceptable], be over 110cm tall (without shoes) and 5+ yrs.

• are required to step down onto a sandy beach and will be required to get into the water up to their knees so appropriate clothing must be worn.

• must be able to speak and/or understand English, or have a translator participate in the program with them (there are no complimentary programs for translators). Persons acting as a translator must advise staff at the start of the program and must satisfy all criteria.

• must follow directions quickly to the satisfaction of staff, be able to quickly exit the pool area unassisted and have controlled motor movement.

• height will be measured on the day of their program. Any participant who does not satisfy the height criteria will not be able to participate in the program and shall not be eligible for a refund.

Participants:

• must have footwear [thongs are acceptable] and unless accompanied by an adult must be over 110cm tall (without shoes) and over 5 yrs. Children under 5 yrs or 110cm (without shoes) may participate with a paying adult but will not be permitted to touch the seal.

• must be able to speak and/or understand English, or have a translator participate in the program with them (there are no complimentary programs for translators). Persons acting as a translator must advise staff at the start of the program and must satisfy all criteria. Participants must follow directions quickly to the satisfaction of staff, be able to quickly exit the pool area unassisted and must have controlled motor movement.

• One person per photo.

Participants:

• must be 4 years of age or over and a minimum height of 102cm. Participants will be measured without footwear on the day of participation. Participants 4yrs must be accompanied by a full paying adult. Any child from 4yrs + and between 102cm and 110cm must be accompanied by a companion aged 14 years or over (one child per companion). There are no complimentary programs for companions. Unaccompanied participants must be aged 5 years or over and be a minimum height of 110cm. If the participant does not meet the height restriction, they will not be able to participate and will not be eligible for a refund (subject to any requirements at law to the contrary).

• must be able to speak and/or understand English, or have a translator participate in the program with them. There are no complimentary programs for translators. Persons acting as a translator must advise staff at the start of the program. Translators must satisfy all criteria;

• will be required to step down 60cm on to a submerged platform and will be required to wear appropriate clothing as they may get splashed;

• must have controlled motor movement;

• must follow directions quickly to the satisfaction of staff;

• are not permitted to wear any arm/leg jewellery including rings, anklets, bracelets, toe-rings, religious and cultural ornamentation unless it is physically unable to be removed, if so, then it has to be taped.
